Recital by Olga Reznichenko

Olga Reznichenko is a violist of Ukrainian origin.

Born in Ukraine in 1995, she began her musical training in Russia at the age of 8, at the UNESCO-sponsored Khanty-Mansiysk Arts Centre for Gifted Children.

A prizewinner in several international competitions, she went on to perfect her skills with renowned masters such as Gérard Caussé, Alexandre Gordon, Hariolg Schlichtig, Sergei Ostrovsky and Olivier Wille, and studied at Swiss universities under Tatjana Masurenko, Patrick Jüdt and Diemut Poppen.

During her studies in Switzerland, Olga attended various international academies in Europe and Israel, including the Villa Musica in Schloss Engers, the International Menuhin Academy in Rolle, the Swiss Chamber Academy, the Keshet Eilon Music Centre and the Paavo Järvi Academy.

During her summer internship with the Biel Symphony Orchestra, she performed at prestigious festivals such as the Gstaad Music Festival, the Variations Musicales de Tannay and the Open Classics am Rhein in Rheinfelden.

After taking a baroque workshop at the HEMU, she performed regularly at dedicated academies in Scandinavia, also exploring the world of historical dance from this period.

Olga is currently working on several personal projects. These include a recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's suites for solo cello, which would be as close as possible to the historical interpretation. She also plans shortly to premiere the Suite estivale for viola by Swiss composer Yves Eggli, which is dedicated to her. Olga also dreams of releasing a disc of chamber sonatas by Brahms and pieces by George Enesco, as well as playing Astor Piazolla's Grand Tango with orchestra.
