HÔTEL DE LA POSTE
As you walk through the doors of this
hotel, which is conveniently located in the heart of the city of Sierre,
between the town hall and Château des Vidomnes, you are welcomed by Caroline
and Michel. This hotelier couple have a wonderfully welcoming and sunny
disposition. They have been running the hotel since March 2021.
In this 18th century building,
which was renovated in 2007 by the Bourgeoisie de Sierre (Sierre Town Council),
old and new come together in harmony through décor inspired by nature. Each
room in the hotel from top to bottom represents a tree from the region: ash,
cherry, fir or larch. What better way to enjoy a little piece of nature in the
middle of the city?
Whether you want to stay for a night or have a meal or even a coffee, Caroline and Michel will be delighted to welcome you. They will not only introduce you to the establishment as it is today, but also help you discover its past, when it was known as the “Hôtel du Soleil”.
Our favourite part: The “Walnut” (“Noyer”) room, which boasts a unique view of the town
of Sierre and one of the towers of the Château des Vidomnes. This room on the
top floor of the hotel, with its exposed beams, offers THE perfect atmosphere
for dreaming fairy tale dreams...
