Chemin d’images (Art Trail)
Photograph exhibition from René-Pierre Bille
An eyeful of animals
René-Pierre Bille left a strong legacy in the Valais naturalist community. Despite his gregarious, cultured manner, this bulky, blueeyed, ruddy-faced bearded man always felt more at home grappling with nature than confined in the city.
Through his lectures and films, René-Pierre Bille introduced the public to Alpine wildlife and helped foster an awareness and love of the beauty and frailty of our natural heritage. With his images he brought thousands of nature lovers into thrilling contacts with wildlife and sparked a passion in many. Therefore, the VissoiArt Association chose to make us re-discover
in 2020 this endearing resident of Chandolin.
