Long story. . . Will. The key word for a success story that has been named "les Coteaux de Sierre", the largest AOP designation in the country, founded in 1996.
Association born from the fierce desire of the inhabitants of the villages surrounding the district capital, Sierre, happiness to share their intelligence, their obstinacy, their skill, their know-how. Still, we had to let it be known! Villagers inhabited by a single goal: to create a common designation that they would defend together, that they still defend.
Family farms concerned with tradition and at the cutting edge of progress, whose common goal is to offer highly renowned products from their region, which are the result of an exceptional terroir combined with true professionalism.
Today, the Association brings together 11 townships and represents 40 grape varieties produced on some 1200 hectares of this particularly sunny land. They are about sixty winegrowers who lovingly cultivate this soil that was revealed to winegrowing more than 2000 years ago and are ready to welcome you in their respective cellars to share a glass of friendship and let you discover their wonders!
So come and stroll through the villages, meet authentic people, a warm welcome, in cellars with intoxicating flavours, with the assurance of a passionate exchange with the discovery of wines that have names like Ermitage, Pinot Noir, Muscat, Humagne, Rèze. . . Names that smell of the warm earth of the Coteaux de Sierre.
