Travel by funicular railway up to Crans-Montana to enjoy the 1'000m descent, which has an incredible panoramic view of the Rhône valley.
Good to know
The town of Sierre is linked to the Crans-Montana Haut-Plateau (Montana, gare) by an ultra-modern funicular. The route, which is just over 4km long with a height gain of 927 metres, takes 12 minutes, at a speed of 8 m/second. This hundred-year-old route is the longest in Europe.
To get to the funicular from the railway station in Sierre/Siders, follow the red line on the pavement (around 5 minutes).
