AOC rye bread

An age-old, traditional product, rye bread is the indispensable complement to the other typically Valaisan products. With its wonderfully crackled crust, it tastes good at any time.

The features of Valaisan AOC rye bread, besides its traditional ingredients, are related to the use of a specific leaven that helps it to remain fresh for longer and gives it a unique acidity.

The bread has a “crackled“ crust because of the long fermentation, and tastes as good with butter and honey as with a plate of dried meat.
