An essential feature of Switzerland and the Valais, cheese is one of the region’s specialities. The great diversity of terroirs within our region ensures that each cheese is different

The cheeses are made in dairies in Valaisan villages, then handed over to master cheese-agers. These are true professionals, the inheritors of centuries of tradition, who continue to produce cheeses of superlative quality.

Each cheese clearly belongs to a specific area, whose name (Anniviers, Bagnes or Simplon, to name but a few) is marked on the heel of the cheese.
