Founded in 1958 by Jules Duc, the Cave Jules Duc et Fils is now run by Jean-Alexis. The takeover of the winery was a gradual process, with Jean-Alexis starting to vinify and market the wines in 1991.
The winery has 7 hectares of vines, stretching from Granges to Corin. Jean-Alexis, who has a passion for sweet wines, makes a wine withered on the vine that is part of the Mercurius range.
One of the special features of this range of three wines is that it is labelled with a gourd, in the image of a gourd found on the estate and dating back to 80 AD. A replica can be seen at the Musée du Vin.
