La grande neige

"La grande neige" tells the epic tale of Catherine, a very brave little girl.

Returning from the neighboring village with bundles of wool for the preparations of the sled festival, Catherine is caught in a snowstorm. Thanks to her knowledge of nature, she manages to protect herself from the avalanche and is emotionally reunited with her brother Ursli.

In a setting inspired by the colorful world of Alois Carigi's drawings, Olivia Seigne reimagines this simple yet rich story by the Grisons author Selina Chönz, published in 1957. She transposes it to a time very close to ours, within a society focused on more simplicity and solidarity.
