André Crettaz exhibits at Espace 100 titres
These poetic assemblages are the result of André Crettaz's walks in the forest, during which he finds pieces of rough wood. Back at home, he brings them to life, shaping animals and characters, perhaps from his own fairytale world or from his observations of everyday life. Using crumpled newspaper, scotch tape and glue, the artist fashions postures and expressions that strike a chord with their own identity and delicacy. His playful creativity gives rise to a quirky, dreamlike world in which you can smile and feel like a child again.
Born in Sierre in 1969, André Crettaz is a self-taught artist who has been exhibiting regularly since 2002.
