Chansons Sur Scène

A new concept and a unique project to give everyone the chance to try their hand at music!

With Chansons Sur Scène, professionals offer you the chance to create your own song, and to experience the whole process, culminating in a stage performance! The adventure begins in May with the selections, and finishes at the end of July with the public performances.

The project is made possible by the support of EJMA Valais and the canton of Valais, and is proposed and run by the organisation "Au fil de la chanson".

During the Selections, the participants present their work:

As performers, with a song of their choice
As writers, by presenting their texts to the Jury
As a composer, by performing one of their own melodies.
It is possible to compete in one, two or all three disciplines.

All forms are possible as long as they touch on and aim to present one of the 3 disciplines: text, voice/interpretation, composition, whatever the language used.

At the time of selection, the rule for authors and composers is to present a personal work, not a cover version. Performers may perform a cover version at the selection stage.

THE MAIN STAGES

- Stage 1: Selections
Registration deadline: Friday 3 May 2024 at noon
Selections in Sierre (Switzerland): Saturday 4 May 2024 from 9am
- 2nd stage: Creation
- Start of song creation: Monday 15 July 2024
