The Festival des fanfares du district de Sierre et Loèche welcomes Manau, the Sneaky Funk Squad and much more to Venthône

FRIDAY 17TH MAY
Immerse yourself in a captivating evening where music and theatre meet, thanks to the exceptional talent of students from the Noble Contrée music school. Inspired by the popular film 'Sing', this show promises an immersive experience with a rich ensemble of instruments, including brass, piano, guitar and percussion. The students, supported by passionate actors, will bring this unique production to life. Don't miss this opportunity to experience a memorable evening full of rhythm and emotion!

SATURDAY 18 MAY

- 8pm: Chris and the rocking rollators
The evening kicks off with the locals. Chris and the rocking rollators come from Venthône and will have you rocking to blues, rock and funk. A must-see band on the Valais scene.
- 9.30pm: Manau
Since 1998, Manau has been drawing us into her world with her timeless lyrics and tales. The success of "La Tribu de Dana" and the album "Panique Celtique" opened the first chapter in a story that includes eleven albums. "Requiem pour un celte" is the latest opus in this Celtic saga. And it's on the stage of the Festival des Fanfares du District de Sierre et Loèche 2024 that Manau will continue to share this great adventure.
- 11.30pm: Sneaky Funk Squad
Street Band funky... Welcome to the funky pinky world of the SNEAKY FUNK SQUAD. Fresh from Switzerland's top music schools, the 11 musicians in this brass band have fun and rearrange the great funk classics of the 70s by Herbie Hankok to the more contemporary soul of Bruno Mars. A sweaty groove, no-holds-barred power and a so much desire to share with the audience. This young band has an infectious fire, so streety!

SUNDAY 19 MAY
The 17 brass bands of the FMSL will be marching and playing for your enjoyment at the 122nd Festival of the District of Sierre and Leuk.

- 11:00 Grand parade
- 12:00 Banquet of the companies
- 13:30 Presentation of medals
- 14.00 Start of the concerts (Cantine and Eglise de Venthône)
- 19.00 Closing ceremony
- 7.30pm Dinner
- 20:30 DJ AXL party

PAYMENT
The festival is cashless with the Weezevent system. You will be given a credit card format at the entrance to pay in the bars and canteens. You can top up your card at the 2 festival cash desks or directly by phone with Twint. You can get your money back within 60 days of the festival. You can do this by filling in the online form.

ACCESS BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
A free shuttle bus will run on Saturday and Sunday between the villages of Venthône, Miège and Veyras. More information on timetables will follow.
SMC buses run between Sierre and Montana every 20 minutes. They can take you there and back in complete safety.

Car parks are available to the public. Please follow the instructions of the fire brigade on site.
