Transhumance

A flock of 400 sheep stops in Sierre !

As part of the historic Fête de la Transhumance, a herd of 400 sheep from the bergerie de Naye will be travelling down from Mollens to Vercorin.

During the morning, it will be passing through Sierre and stopping off at the HES-SO site, from 8.30/9.00am to around 10.30am !

· Route through Sierre : Muraz - Foyer St-Joseph - Rue du Bourg - Terrain de la HES-SO (break of approx. 1h30) - Rue de Sous-Géronde (in front of Enseignex) - Technopôle - Pont de Chippis... then climb to Vercorin.

The Transhumance Festival will take place all day in Vercorin, where you'll find food and drink stalls, entertainment, sheep-shearing demonstrations, music, wool spinning, etc.

⚠️ For the well-being of the sheep and the smooth running of the event, please come without your dogs, do not pet the animals, and do not cross the flock.
