Pfyn-Finges - Néophytes envahissantes 2024

Taking action against invasive neophytes

Salgesch

Actively support nature conservation and enhancement in the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park!

Get to know the invasive neophytes present in the region and the problems they cause, and combat them sustainably!

In principle, "neo" - new "phytes" - plants do not cause problems. But these are "new" plants that arrive in an existing, well-established ecosystem. If these exotic plants are not regulated by predators or parasites on the new site, they spread rapidly to the detriment of native species, are difficult to control and cause increasing health, economic and ecological damage. The victims are mainly rare and highly specialised species of flora and fauna.

On 7 June 2024, we will be working with you to combat neophytes in a professional and ecologically sustainable way. For this, in addition to basic theoretical knowledge (recognising the most important species), active involvement in nature is essential (control methods)!

EQUIPMENT
We recommend: Weather-appropriate work clothes, closed work shoes, work gloves (if available) - cap or hat, sun cream, 1 mosquito / tick spray, check between participants after the intervention, drinks (half day=min. ½ litre, one day=min. 1 litre of water or tea) and lunch (picnic).
