Museum Night

The 20th edition of Museum Night offers a broad overview of Valais' museum institutions:
46 museums and exhibition spaces will open their doors free of charge on the evening of Saturday, November 9.

Discover the variety of activities created for this magical and festive event, while visiting the exhibitions in Sierre.
The Charles Clos Olsommer Museum, the Rilke Foundation, and the Wine Museum are participating in this night filled with magic.

Charles Clos Olsommer Museum Program:
6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.: Demonstration by an icon painter and discussion about technique and the sacred
7:00 p.m. / 7:30 p.m. / 8:00 p.m. / 8:30 p.m.: Musical paintings and commentary on the paintings by the curator
9:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.: Aperitif and tasting of specialties from Valais, the Balkans, and the Middle East

Rilke Foundation Program:
Continuous: Free visit to the exhibition
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Guided tours: Prof. Dr. Marcel Lepper, Director of the Rilke Foundation
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Aperitif at the museum

Sierre Wine Museum program:
4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Stories from around the world for ages 4 and up - by the Rendez-vous contes association
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Tasting of traditional flavors from Santorini
6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. /7:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.: À la carte tour
8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.: À la carte tour followed by a tasting of German and Georgian wines

Salgesch Wine Museum program:
11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Guided tour of the secrets of the wine museum building
11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Concert by the Salgesch brass band - Aperitif afterwards with the Caldelari winery
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Catering: Fit for fun Salgesch (fee applies)
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Craft workshop for children aged 4 and up
6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Guided tour revealing the secrets of the wine museum building.
