What will become of you, Glacier? A look at the melting of the glaciers and the changes to the landscape and the population
A day to explore the melting of glaciers and its impact on our landscapes and societies, with a varied programme for different audiences:
2-4pm: a participatory and creative workshop to discuss our imaginations and expectations of the melting glaciers. Children welcome. Followed by a snack.
5pm-7pm: a series of lectures by specialists in glaciology, hydraulic engineering, biogeography and tourism, who will share their analysis of the key issues surrounding the melting of glaciers, such as natural hazards, water resources, the impact on biodiversity, and the relationship with heritage and tourism. Followed by a round table discussion.
Aperitif
8-9pm: screening of the film PARADiCE, la procession des glaciers, produced by Canal9.
