To kick off the longest day of the year, Alain Roche will be at the Fondation Opale to play his composition “Summer Solstice” from 04:24 to 05:21, the blue hour of 21 June 2025.
BLUE HOUR is a series of concerts for solo acoustic piano that take place at dawn, lit only by the arrival of daylight. Whether the light enters through a large east-facing bay window or through a small opening that pierces the darkness, the dawn is a process in perpetual change, before which pianist-composer Alain Roche invites the audience to pause for a moment.
Alain Roche is a Swiss pianist-composer and stage designer, trained in classical music at the Conservatoire du Jura, the Conservatoire de Belfort in France and the ETM (Ecole des Technologies Musicales) in Geneva. He will end his BLUE HOUR tour at the Centre d'art de Lens.
The concert will take place outdoors, unless the temperature or weather conditions prevent it.
After the performance, the L'Opale restaurant will be serving coffee and croissants to prolong this moment and start the day.
