Les folles journées de l'Orgue, Ste-Catherine Church

This weekend, organ performances are being held throughout French-speaking Switzerland to mark the 100th anniversary of the Association des Organistes romands.

In collaboration with the various cantonal sections, open days are being organised in dozens of churches in French-speaking Switzerland. These days may take the form of a simple opportunity to visit the instrument presented by its owner, or they may take a more developed form, with a concert or organ walk, for example (the public moves from church to church, each time enjoying a presentation of the organ followed by a short audition of the instrument). This is an opportunity for the local population to discover a little-known instrument and to showcase the organists who play it.
