Land of the Giraffes

In Sierre, discover Terre des Girafes, an intercultural show in which Emma, a dairy cow seeking a career as an artist, flies off to Africa with her red suitcase. Once there, she meets Griot, the musical giraffe, and learns to play the kora after a mysterious bargain. A funny, tender and poetic adventure, followed by an intercultural aperitif.

For one afternoon, the theatre is transformed into a meeting place for music, African folklore and visual theatre.

Emma, tired of her life on the farm, sets off in search of the sound that will make her heart sing. Travelling across Africa, she follows in the footsteps of ancient sounds, stringed instruments and new rhythms. When she arrives in the land of giraffes, she meets Griot: a giraffe musician who plays the kora. To learn a song, Emma must accept her share of secrets. Through this journey, the show questions the desire for change, the freedom to become something other than what one was predestined to be, and invites us to celebrate art in all its forms.

After the performance, the sharing continues over an intercultural aperitif, a moment conducive to exchange and conviviality.
