7.30 pm MUSIC AND NATURE EVENING at the Château Mercier Salon:
CONCERT “The Music of Plants and Music Inspired by Plants” performed by the Afflatus ensemble.
The programme features musical works from the Renaissance to the 20th century inspired by nature, including excerpts from James Oswald’s “Airs for the Seasons” in dialogue with the music of plants (audible through the transposition of the plant’s electrical currents into sound).
The concert will be preceded by an “IMPOSSIBLE INTERVIEW” with James Oswald, an 18th-century composer with a passion for botany, nicknamed the Scottish Corelli.
With the participation of Pascal Vittoz, botanist, and Frédéric Lugon, actor.
