Sarah Velasco and Désirée Pousaz on violin, alongside Irina-Kalina Goudeva on double bass, take the audience on a musical journey spanning eight centuries of composition, from Leclair to Piazzolla via Dvořák and Debussy.
It is in the exceptional setting of the Monastery of Notre-Dame de Géronde, a major centre of contemplation and heritage in the Sierroise region, that the Association des Amis du Monastère de Géronde is organising this charity concert. Three accomplished musicians come together for the occasion: Sarah Velasco and Désirée Pousaz on violin, and Irina-Kalina Goudeva on double bass.
The programme invites the audience on an ambitious and eclectic musical journey, bringing together works by Jean-Marie Leclair, Joseph Haydn, Luigi Cherubini, Reinhold Glière, Antonín Dvořák, Claude Debussy, Ljubica Marić and Astor Piazzolla. From Baroque pieces to Argentine tangos, via Slavic Romanticism and French Impressionism, each piece brings its own colour, together painting a musical portrait rich in contrasts and emotions.
