Comedy Show: Improv Match

First staged in Quebec in 1977, this improvisation match playfully subverts the conventions of ice hockey: two teams in jerseys face off on an imaginary ice rink under the watchful eye of a referee… who can sometimes be ruthless. Based on themes drawn at random, the actors have a few seconds to discuss their approach before improvising, live and without a script, stories that are by turns funny, touching, absurd or poetic.

And as in any good match, it’s the audience who have the final say by voting for their favourite improv.
