There are far too many of us on this bloody boat

For over 15 years, the theatre company Les Sans-Lacets has been staging socially conscious productions that reinterpret the great works of theatrical history.

Having explored the absurdity of totalitarian power two years ago, the company returns in 2026 with the play *There Are Too Many of Us on This Bloody Boat* by the playwright Matéi Vișniec. This play was written in the wake of the emotional and media outcry surrounding the migration crisis of summer 2015, during which hundreds of thousands of people attempted to reach Europe at the risk of their lives. It questions the aimlessness of a
globalised world, which allows those not invited to the table of unbridled capitalism to die.
