The Cinéma du Bourg in Sierre opens its doors for a preview screening of the documentary film ‘A tombeaux ouverts’, directed by Gaël Métroz.

'A TOMBEAUX OUVERTS' is a feature-length documentary directed by Gaël Métroz and produced by EPYC Films. Filmed over eight years using an immersive approach, the film follows racing driver Roger Rey, who competed alongside Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Jo Siffert, Graham Hill and Stirling Moss. Following the death of his son Alain, he devoted himself to his wife Marylou. Thirty years later, Marylou asks him to get back behind the wheel.

Synopsis:

Roger Rey raced alongside Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Jo Siffert, Graham Hill and Stirling Moss. Thirty years later, his wife Marylou asks him to get back behind the wheel. Just as Roger rediscovers the thrill of speed and reunites with his friends, Marylou is admitted to hospital. She makes him promise to do one last European race in her honour. But Roger is 84 and his car is 40… Together with his mechanic Jean-Michel, Roger embarks on a wild swan song that will become much more than a motoring adventure: a tribute to love, friendship and his fierce zest for life.
