Antonino Donato Villani… His name alone is a journey, and his own journey is Music. His work draws its essence from jazz, fusion, world music and electronic music within a contemporary creative context. Deeply inspired by Africa, his music evokes the savannah beneath the stars… And he has spent many tropical-scented nights in his ‘cave’, where drums, vibraphone and anything else that can be played with drumsticks join in the dance. He dreams it up, composes and deconstructs it, completes it and brings it back to life – this complete work with ‘chapters’ such as ‘Neverending Dance’ or ‘Rivers Spirit’, and this ‘Risveglio’ which morphs into ‘Cascades’ before ending in ‘Embouteillage’ within ‘Wind in the Wood’. All these tracks mark the stages of his journey through the embers, for which he has kept the faith throughout a lifetime of creative gestation.

This anthology of original and previously unreleased compositions will be ‘crafted’ by guitarist Nicolas Fardel and the Dayer brothers, Christophe and Colin, on bass and keyboards, alongside Donato Villani on drums.
