Guided tour by Louis-Fred Tonossi

Sierre

Louis-Fred Tonossi, a heritage guide and official guide to Sierre, will introduce you to the secrets of the Maison du Remuage.

Louis-Fred was born and brought up in Sierre, but did not always live there. At the age of 11, he left his hometown to study at the boarding school in Saint-Maurice. Once he had completed his A-levels, he undertook work placements in German-speaking Switzerland and England, before taking over the management of his parents’ textile business. He was 22 at the time. In 1971, he went into partnership with his uncle at the Sierre-based firm Lehner-Tonossi. This was a real challenge for Louis-Fred, who was moving from the world of clothing to that of hardware!

He sees his role as a guide first and foremost as a hobby. A true enthusiast, he takes us on a journey through the history of his town… but also through his own life. Passionate and captivating, we invite you to (re)discover the Maison du Remuage with him.

A tour to be enjoyed as part of the Maison du Remuage’s 300th-anniversary celebrations.
