Most of the time, the walk along the Tsittoret is enjoyed by heading upstream from Vermala. Very quickly, the hike will get your calf muscles working ! From time to time, admire the outstanding panorama : the Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn, Matterhorn, Dent Blanche etc., so many excuses to take a break and get your breath back! During your tour, a stop at the Colombire hamlet is a must. Here you'll discover how life was organised in the mayen, this building typical to the Valais region, which served as accommodation for shepherds who brought their flocks up to spend summer in the alpine pastures. You will also find a restaurant where you can refresh yourself with a drink and savour some cheese and salted produce from the local area. The next part of the route has the longest stretch of water. It runs along a gentle slope, generally wooded, and rich in varied flora. At the end, the discovery of the Tièche Valley is the ultimate reward after a day's walk. The bisse is also the route of the Air Path (Chemin de l'air), a route made up of signs on the theme of air and atmospheric pollution, created by the state of Valais
OUR ADVICE
This bisse is also part of the "tracé du Chemin de l'air", a route featuring signposts on the theme of air and atmospheric polution which was carried out by the Etat du Valais.
