The Bisse Neuf and the Varone are two relatively low altitude bisses evolving in a friendly environment. They are far from the bisses in steep and dizzying terrain. The combination of the two is done in a hike of about ten kilometers at an altitude between 800 and 1,000 meters. The end of the Bisse Neuf and the beginning of the Bisse de Varen are located at the linguistic border of Valais, a border geographically separated by the Raspille. The route continues in the deciduous and coniferous undergrowth. A particularity of the Bisse de Varone is that it crosses an area of about 1.5 km where vegetation is very scarce. Indeed, the steep ground is covered with scree and thus the species encountered have great difficulty finding to take root there. From there, an open view opens onto the Varone vineyard and Salquenen and also on the bed of the Rhône which has remained in its state without ever undergoing the constraints of embankment. On the other side, it is the pine forest of Bois de Finges which since ancient times has colonized the western part of the Ilgraben debris cone.
