The Cano-Moix duo has performed in Switzerland and abroad, in such prestigious venues as the Musikverein in Vienna.
A solid friendship between the two artists is at the root of a close collaboration in which energy and emotion are at one with the constant quest to deliver a musical message that is as sincere and faithful as possible. Born in Venezuela in 1983, Gabriel Cano began his musical training at the age of 6 with the "El Sistema" programme. He then entered the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris (CNR) and went on to study at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. As a chamber musician and principal flautist with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, he has performed in a number of prestigious venues and festivals. He has performed under the baton of eminent conductors including Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle and Daniel Barenboim. Born in 1986, Swiss pianist Guillaume Moix obtained a teaching diploma from the Conservatoire Supérieur et Académie Tibor Varga in Sion, and continued his studies at the Hochschule der Künste in Zurich (Master of Concert and Master of Soloist in the class of Homero Francesch). As a soloist, he is also appreciated for his skills as an accompanist. Keen to pass on his passion to young people, Guillaume Moix also teaches piano at the Geneva Conservatoire.
