Performance with the student children of Tendanses School
Have you kept your childlike eyes? It will be essential to find a little boy hidden in a department store and see toys dance with a pink soldier!
One evening, in a department store, a little boy named Joseph hides in the toy aisle. As night falls, he sees the toys come to life. Joseph comes out of his hiding spot and explains why he doesn't like the world of adults. He meets a sad pink soldier who explains that he has been on the store shelves for years because no one wants him: either they don't like his color or they don't like soldiers.
Will Joseph be caught by the night guard? Will he want to return to the adult world to find the arms of his mom and dad?
And the sad pink soldier, will the toys be able to bring back his joy of living?
This gentle show takes you into the wonderful and sometimes cruel world of childhood and delicately addresses themes of difference, tolerance, and the power of friendship. All while reminding you to keep your soul and childlike eyes! It is a free adaptation of the tale "Le Soldat Rose" by Dominique Burgaud.
It has now been over 30 years since the Tendanses dance school opened its doors in Sierre. In addition to its educational mission, for the past 27 years, it has been creating shows allowing its students to experience the stage and the audience. Since 1997, all performances have taken place at the Théâtre Les Halles, and with joy, this season the apprentice dancers present "Un amour de soldat."
The show includes all students of the Tendanses school between 4 and 12 years old who wish to experience the stage and present the result of their work. Dance styles range from classical ballet to hip-hop, jazz, and let's not forget the classes for the youngest but future great artists!
