Claire Brunet exhibits her encaustic paintings at the Atelier Galerie Les Belles intentions

Claire discovered the complex technique of hot wax while surfing the web. Inspired by the work of American artist Judith Bergerson, she decided to go down this path and, over the years, has acquired this highly specialised know-how. The mixture of wax and pigments fused by hot air produces very random but always fascinating results. Her warmly-coloured works reveal distant landscapes in a deep, enigmatic transparency. It's a work and a technique that absolutely must be discovered.
