Born in Russia in 1986, Kozhukhin first learned to play the piano with his musician mother. A pupil of Dmitri Bashkirov and Claudio Martinez-Mehner at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid, Kozhukhin completed his studies at the Piano Academy on Lake Como, then in Stuttgart with Kirill Gerstein.

He is also a frequent guest at the Verbier, Gstaad, Grafenegg, Dresden, Intonations, Tsinandali, Klavier Ruhr, Lanaudiere and Jerusalem Festivals, as well as the BBC Proms.
